THE PROBLEM
The funding model is breaking down.
Across the sector, organizations are facing the same challenges: rising demand, rising costs, and shrinking government and philanthropic funding.
Everyone knows something has to change — but the pressure to diversify revenue often outpaces organizations’ readiness, and new revenue streams built without the right foundation can stretch capacity past what teams can handle.
Organizations need revenue that is grounded in impact, operationally resilient, and financially sustainable.
THE THESIS
Sustainable Revenue Requires Clear Direction and Strong Operations
Direction has to be clear before systems can support it, and systems have to hold before revenue can be built on top.
Like rings on a tree, layer by layer, an organization gets stronger one step at a time.

A clear impact framework that staff, leadership, and board can all see themselves in and align decisions around.

Impact measurement & storytelling
Indicators, frameworks, and storytelling systems for evidence-informed decisions and effective communications.

Foundational frameworks, processes, and rhythms that embed impact, care, and predictability into daily operations.

Revenue strategy & feasibility
A new revenue stream, grounded in impact and sized to actual capacity, tested small before it scales and built for resilience.
THE PROGRAM
ILDP is a 12-month Cohort-based Journey
Small groups of peer leaders move through the pathway together, each paired with a dedicated coach.
Workshops, bi-weekly coaching, and peer roundtables build toward a presentation-ready final project shared with the cohort.

Cohort check-ins to share progress, troubleshoot, and learn from one another.
Co-working sessions
A standing monthly “office hours” for participants to work on homework and ask questions.

Templates, workshop follow-ups, and interview prompts between sessions.
Cohort Timeline & Activities

| Months 10-11 | Final Projects & Presentations | Organizations present final projects to the cohort, funders, and coaches for feedback and celebration. Later, presented to internal teams. |
| Month 12 | Wrap-up & Reporting | Exit survey completed. Program retrospective and funder debrief, with a cohort impact report shared back to participants and partners. |
THE INVESTMENT
A Collaborative, Shared Investment Model
ILDP is a collaboration. Funder investment, organizational co-investment, and Abundance Collective’s delivery expertise are woven together to build lasting sector capacity. Organizations contribute to their own participation because shared investment strengthens ownership and engagement.
Total program value of $15,000/organization, with participants contributing 25–50% on a sliding scale.

Impact Measurement — 2025-26
The Okanagan Prosperity Fund Impact Measurement Learning Program helped 30 social impact organizations across the Okanagan move from ad hoc reporting toward practical, consistent impact measurement frameworks. Five received dedicated coaching, building the foundation for the 2026-27 Impact Storytelling cohort.

ABOUT ILDP
The Impact & Leadership Development Program (ILDP) has been building capacity across British Columbia’s nonprofit and social enterprise sector since 2018.
50+ organizations supported · 7+ years of delivery · 6 regions across BC
ILDP offers grant-supported, walk-alongside coaching and shared learning opportunities for social impact leaders. Emerging from Purppl, the program is now carried forward by Abundance Collective with a deepened, more structured methodology.
